Louis P. Karol graduated "with distinction" from George Washington University in 1980 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (accounting with Distinction). In 1984 he received his Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. In 1989 he received his L.L.M. degree in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. Mr. Karol is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Karol is licensed to practice law in New York and his application to practice law in Connecticut is pending. He is admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court.

Stanley has built a distinguished reputation for legal counsel in matters involving real estate transactions. He has practiced in the area of commercial real estate including the sale, purchase, financing and leasing of commercial and industrial property and the general field of landlord-tenant law. Renata Landskind, was born in Kiev, Ukraine and grew up in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn. After graduating from St. John's University with a Criminal Justice major, she earned a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. Since 2000, Renata has concentrated her practice of law in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Trusts and Estates, with a focus on the Probate and Administration of Complex and Litigated Estates. Ms. Landskind regularly assists clients in planning for the preservation of assets in the face of catastrophic medical events and applying for and obtaining Medicaid for both in-home care and nursing home as a vehicle to both preserve those assets and take the burden off loved ones in a time of need. Her legal ability also extends to Asset Protection, Business Planning and Real Estate as well as estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and real estate investors, whom she guides in the structuring and transfer of property to the next generation through the use of the most efficient and tax-effective methods available.

Brenda is an attorney working in the law firm of Karol & Sosnik's Trust and Estate Department. Her practice has focused on Estate Administration, Elder Law, Estate Planning and closely related areas from the very beginning of her legal career.
Brenda's focus is on representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries of a trust or an estate. She has over 21 years of experience advising fiduciaries (Executors and Trustees) on the duties and responsibilities of being a fiduciary. She also represents beneficiaries in ensuring that they receive the assets that they are entitled to in a timely fashion from an estate and/or trust. She also works with our Trust and Estate Litigation Department when matters cannot be resolved amicably.

Terence J. Ricaforte, grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. After graduating from Manhattan College with a B.S. in Business Administration, he earned a J.D. from New York Law School. Since 2008, Terence has primarily practiced in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Probate and Estate Administration, Estate Litigation, Medicaid Planning, Real Estate, Tax and Business Succession Planning.
Mr. Ricaforte started his legal career as an attorney with the Miami Dade State Attorneys Office. He became an Assistant State Attorney in 2006 and prosecuted misdemeanor and felony crimes through at least 15 jury and numerous bench trials. Mr. Ricaforte then returned home to New York to be closer to family and friends.
Using the litigation and trial experience he developed as an assistant State's Attorney, he was able to build a niche practice of Estate Litigation. Mr. Ricaforte has handled jury trials, contested probate, administration and accounting proceedings, discovery proceedings, contested power of attorneys, fraudulent transfer issues, tax litigation and contested real estate matters.
